We are searching for a creative and detail-oriented Narrative Lead to join our team. You’ll play a pivotal role in defining the world, lore, and backstory of our fresh game IP. With Ubisoft Scalar’s power, the game will tap into nearly limitless computing resources, pushing the boundaries of your creativity to develop dynamic and immersive narratives for the gaming landscapes of the future.
What you will be doing:
Narrative Ownership
- Develop and own the Narrative vision of the game following the over-arching vision set by our Creative Director.
- Ensure the narrative elements are clear and consistent throughout all aspects of the game.
- Work with our programming teams to make sure we have the narrative tools and systems needed to effectively communicate our narrative to the players.
Worldbuilding
- Craft a strategy to effectively communicate the narrative, history, and lore of the world.
- Collaborate with our World Team to create a cohesive visual language that narrates our world’s story.
Narrative Leadership
- Grow a small Narrative team over the course of the project and set the standards for our narrative and writing quality.
- Represent Narrative in cross-discipline planning throughout all phases of the project.

We would love if you:
- Are a team-oriented Narrative Lead with experience of leading and managing Narrative Designers.
- Understand the full game dev cycle, what to anticipate and what it means to ship a major game title.
- Have experience with implementation in visual scripting systems.
- Can seamlessly integrate Narrative elements throughout the world and its systems.
- Can clearly communicate your team’s needs and goals to the wider development team
